The next movie of the SuperStar is Kuselan. This is a movie which has Rajnikanth playing the role of the Superstar in the movie. The music for the movie is being done by GV Prakash Kumar. The audio launch was held on June 30th at Le Meridian hotel. The conference hall at Le Meridian with a capacity of 400 was brimming with crowd that constitutes of VIPs and fans amounting to 1500. The function lasted for almost two hours, which consisted of a lot of speeches and the much awaited audio launch. Latha Rajinikanth, Dhanush, Aishwarya, Vadivelu, Abirami Ramanathan, and Sivaji films Ramkumar were the others present for the audio release.
The next movie of Kamal is Marmayogi. It is another Magnus opus by Kamal Hassan with a huge budget. It has been found that Marmayogi will be moving to Sweden for shooting. The story of the movie is set along the 6th century BC. Sweden might be one among the locations which Kamal has in his mind and so he is shifting his crew to Sweden. Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachan, Hema Malini, Rekha and Kajol have been claimed to be the star cast of the movie. There is not much confirmation on the star cast yet, but these are the most likely people to act in the movie. So it wil be great to see the two legends Kamal and Amitabh together on screen.
Jane McGrath, the wife of the former Australain fast bowler Glenn McGrath, passed away because of some complications in her surgery. She had breast, hip as well as brain cancer and was battling it out for days. She along with her husband had set up the McGrath foundation, which had gone a long way in treating cancer patients. The Prime Minister along with the Australian team members spoke high about Jane and how she was so attached with the players and the team.
There are many cricket tournaments being played across the country. Asia Cup is one of its kind. Asia Cup was started long back and since then it is being played regularly. In the beginning only India Pakistan and Sr Lanka battled it out for the cup. Then Bangladesh was included in the tournament. This years Asia Cup will see the inclusion of 2 other teams, namely Hong Kong and UAE. All the six teams will be battling it out for the cup. The tournament kicks off on the 24th and the finals will be played on the 6th of July. There are 2 groups in this tournament. Group A consists of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and UAE. Group B consists of India, Pakistan and Hong Kong. This promises to be a tough series.
Kamal's next project after Dasavatharam is another magnus opus in the name of Marmayogi. Already the news from the camp is delay. The innaugral pooja of Marmayogi will be postponed to July 25th 2008. earlier it was planned that the pooja will be held on the 13th of July. Pyramid Saimira was the reason for the postponement as they weren't prepared for a grand function but Kamal however is ready for a grand pooja to kick things off. The movie will be joint venture of Raj Kamal productions and Pyramid Saimira. It is already said that the shooting of the movie will take place across various cities.
Following the Dubai scandal in which Asif got arrested for possessing illicit drug materials, Asif is once again under the drug scandal. There were reports that, an Asian bowler had failed the dope Test in the IPL. Asif is the Asian bowler which the IPL officials were talking about. This is not the first time that Asif had been caught for possession of drugs. It is likely that Asif may suffer a life ban. PCB and ICC are inching to take a decision against Asif. His career has been put on stake. It is a quite sorry state for both Asif and Pakistan.

Kuselan is all set for the release and it is always interesting to note some titbits about the movie. The name of the character which Rajni plays in Kuselan is not Rajnikanth but his name is SuperStar Ashok Kumar. The movie moves into the post production stage. Everyone in the team is working hard for a July release but sources feel that the movie will release in the first week of August. Coincidence is that in both the movies Akshay Kumar is the lead star. The song will feature the most famous rap artist Snoop Dogg alomg with Akshay.
