Many people get dehydration, sun stroke, head aches, etc. The normal life of the people is affected. With water scarcity people spend their money buying water cans. A basic necessity like water is being sold. This is the situation in Chennai during summer. After the helmet rule has come into the existense, people find it very difficult to drive vehicles wearing the helmet under the hot sun. So the condition is quite pathetic.
